Getting your site ranked well in Google is the aim of many entrepreneurs & business owners, but not many people have an idea about how to do it. Fortunately, there are 3 simple tricks to boost your site’s rank in just a few days. Here’s how to do them..

1) Create Lots Of Relevant Pages – The best thing you can do for your website is to focus on a series of different keywords with many relevant pages. Most webmasters make the fatal mistake of making a small 10 page site that they hope will rank for 100′s of search terms. This will never work – Google and the other search engines are based on how relevant pages are, and will rank individual (targeted) pages of your site far higher than the main page. If you have a site with many different products / topics… then make sure you dedicate at least one page to each. Don’t try and cram everything onto one page.

2) Create Lots Of Links To Your Site Over A Steady Period Of Time – Links to your site shows the search engines that you are an active participant in the Internet ‘community’ AND that other sites want to link to you. However, getting too many links at once can have a devastating effect on your ranks (because Google thinks you’re trying to ‘game’ its system). In order to get the best results, you should create a steady flow of around 5-10 links every day to your site from the likes of directories, blog comments and forum signatures.

3) Focus On Top Quality Links - Getting low quality (free) links from websites is easy enough, and is so easy that the search engines are not counting them as highly any more. Now the search engines are focusing more on the quality of links – and value the best one-way, authority links as the most valuable, making them boost your site in the rankings. Getting these links is a lot more difficult and in order to get them, you could think about investing in some quality links from the likes of blog posts or link pages. The more high quality links you get, the faster you’ll get the top ranks in the search engines.

By: John Terrence

About the Author:

As fancy as the term “blog” sounds, it’s actually just a website that uses a content management system. While most blog software is more search engine friendly out of the box than many web sites, the opportunities for blog optimization are readily available.

Here are 10 tricks that will increase your visibility in search engines and eventually drive more traffic to your blog.

1) Use keywords in your blog post titles – This is a given for SEO. Most blogging software uses the post title as the url so take advantage of it.

Example: “10 SEO Tricks to Attract More Traffic to your Blog – Search Engine Journal
Search Engine Journal is included on every blog post title tag automatically.

2) Optimize your blog categories – When you create categories for your blog, be sure to use keywords in the titles. When you post, be sure to default to a general category that is relevant no matter what the post is about. Choose multiple categories on each post when appropriate. This will create a “SEO-friendly” url for each post you make.

3) Syndicate your blog – Make it easy for people to subscribe to your blog. Sign-up with a free service like Feedburner and then create a “syndication” area on your site.

4) Offer RSS to email – Anywhere from 10% to 40% of your blog traffic can come from individuals that perfer to read blog posts via email. RSS readers and aggregators can be confusing. Adding email services to your blog isn’t. There are several free services available for this including: FeedBlitz, Squeet, and Zookoda.

5) Ping blog search engines – This can be configured with blog software such as Movable Type or WordPress to work automatically. If you’re using Blogger.com, then you can do this manually with Pingomatic.com or Pingoat.com.

6) Make comments on other blogs – Your name will be linked to the blog url that you enter. Don’t make comments that offer no value to the blog post. Don’t use keywords in the field for your name, use your name or blog name.

7) Submit your blog directories – Also submit the blog to regular directories such as (DMOZ, JoeAnt, GoGuides, Google Blog Search, etc) that have categories for blogs.

Targeted advertising – Now this doesn’t really drive traffic to your site but will make you money. It’s possible by using Google AdSense to display highly targeted ads on your blog. Once you’ve setup an account and placed the ads on your site, just sit back and watch the cash come in. Cha-ching.

9) Snatch up hot keywords – Now before you place ads on your blog, be sure your keyword density is good for the right terms. A VERY helpful tool to improve your traffic for high-paying keywords is called Keyword Elite (http://www.seojuice.com).

10) Use track backs – If there is a blog that you refer to or quote and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. It increases your link popularity and may even score a few interested readers from the linked site. A TrackBack is a mechanism used in a blog to show, around an entry, a list of other blogs that refer to it.

Summary

The important thing to remember is that no matter how many optimization tactics you employ with a blog, there is no substitute for quality content. Blog optimization is only as effective as the quality and usefulness of the content you’re optimizing. So do not limit yourself to tips and lists. Use your imagination and you will come up with thousands of ways to drive traffic to your blog!

By: David Cowgill

About the Author:

These SEO techniques go through a three-phase process. They are bookmarking, article writing, then targeting higher PR sites.

The first step you want to do is to set up a blog that you can post new content on. Then afterwards you social bookmark the URLs to the different articles you created. Next you’ll want to take the RSS feed and submit that to different directories and aggregators.

Once you finish these steps, the main part of you website will have anywhere from 10 to 15 links. Depending on the competition you’re dealing with, you should be on page 2 or 1 for the particular keyword you are targeting. When you promote a brand new website you need to think long term and just doing the things in the first phase is not enough to give you a significant ranking over the long haul. It won’t sustain your ranking either.

Now you’re going to want to move to what I call phase 2 of the link building activities that you will be undertaking. In this stage, you’ll be obtaining low to moderate links going back to your website. This is where you’ll be focusing on blog networks and article directory networks. There are tools you can use to speed up the automation process.

In this phase you’re giving yourself the potential of acquiring a few hundred links that will go back to your website.

Some of the automated services allow you to put links in the article itself. For those that do I’ll always put a primary link going back to my main website, but some I’ll link to a network of sites that I created using my Web 2.0 properties.

In the long run you want at least 50% of the links to go back to your main website. You’ll want to keep up a good routine of writing articles to submit to either the blog or article networks.

There are good tools that will monitor your ranking relative to your keywords. At this point you should have a few hundred links going back to your website which will be anywhere between 0 to 2 PR rankings. I’ve never gotten anything higher than that.

Now you’re ready to go on to phase 3. In this step you want to hand pick authority sites where you can work in a link back to your website. Some of these SEO techniques used in phase 3 you might have to pay for, but the link back to your website will be well worth the money spent.

Now that you’ve learned how to use these SEO techniques make sure to take the time to set up quality links when you bookmark. Write articles that draw the reader in and offer something to other authority website with a higher PR ranking to get those back links.

By: Reed Slidell

About the Author:

Make sure when you begin to promote a website that you have a clear cut reason as to why you are doing what you are doing. This way you can take the time to come up with a clear and precise plan that will work best for you.

I always set goals as to what I’m going to do based on the amount of traffic that I am getting to my web site. This will tell me if I need to do more activity to increase my rankings. Have an overall long term plan set it place.

It’s all about having a set plan that will work well for you. It is at this point that I figure out what things I should make investments in and what things should be cut out. Depending on how good your plan is will determine how big of results that you will obtain. You want to get to the point where this website income will replace one that you might have.

Sometimes it’s best to outsource the work that you have. When you outsource many times your just freeing up the time you have to work on things that need more of your attention. This is why you have to have a clear cut plan than works for you. Make sure you write everything down along with dates of when you’d like certain things done on when promoting a web site.

Once you make up your mind on what niche you will be targeting, you’ll want to have a wide variety of keywords that will bring you as much traffic as possible. Keep them all listed in an excel spread sheet along with the URLs. It is best to set up a blog and write articles. There is on page and off page optimization that you will be doing.

You want to make sure your writing the best articles to submit to the article directories. When you promote a web site using Web 2.0 through websites, you don’t want to post just any kind of content that doesn’t make sense because that would be considered spamming the search engines.

Keep in mind what SEO is and how to use the search engines to the best of your ability. My definition of search engine optimization is getting your web site ready for the search engines to obtain a good high ranking for the keywords that suit your web site the best.

The search engines do not provide recommendations to what things are good to do and what things you should avoid. It just makes sense to use that information to obtain the highest ranking as possible. When promoting a web site, remember that the search engines only care about relevance and authority.

By: Reed Slidell

About the Author:

Getting a top listing in the search engines is something that each internet marketer dreams of when setting up their websites. Some people seem to make it look so easy while others struggle and never get listed.

Why is it that some people seem to get all the luck? The answer that will get you climbing the ladder to the top lies in the 3 SEO tricks revealed here.

The first step or should I say the first rung on the ladder is selecting your keywords. The choice of keyword phrases is what either is going to make or break your business. Climbing to the top for the wrong keyword phrase is a total waste of time so make sure you research your phrases before you commit to anything. Start a link building campaign to build the popularity of your site to the search engines. Think of each link going to your site like a vote. The more votes you get the better you’ll do. Now don’t start going hog wild right off the bat and create thousands of incoming links to fast. You have to build your links gradually so it looks natural to the search engines. Also one way links from high PR sites are the best type of links to get. Patience is your best friend when it comes to getting to the top. Don’t expect to shoot to the top right away because you followed all the SEO tricks in the book. I have seen sites get a top listing fast, but it is not the normal thing. Give your site time to mature before you start questioning why it’s not climbing the ladder as fast as you like.

By: Jo R Green

About the Author:

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is really a vital way to direct traffic to your site, so it is critically important that you understand the tricks involved in getting higher search results.

Some of the most famous and ethical SEO tricks are listed below:

o	The title tag is the most powerful SEO trick, but it must be used creatively. You should only place one thing in the title tag and that is the exact keyword you used for the web page that you are trying to optimize.

o	One of the most famous SEO trick is link popularity. It is because of the fact that most search engines don’t consider web sites that do not have links pointing to the web site. So, it is really important to link to other resources that are related to your website’s niche. This will increase traffic, provide good ranking and add value to your website.

o	It is very important to use a different title on each web page with its own primary keywords at the beginning of the page title.

o	Always remember, keyword density is very important in SEO and should be properly researched. The keywords should be used once in the title tag, heading tag, and in the body text while keeping the keyword density between 5% to 20%

o	Another important SEO trick is to get your keywords in much of the anchor text in both internal and external links.

o	It is wise to build a website that is rich in theme because search engines are now more interested in the themes.

o	You should build content related to your niche with around 250 words per page because the speed of your web page is very important to your visitors and the search engines.

o	Always remember to add fresh and unique content on regular basis which attracts the visitor to come back to your website.

o	Don’t forget to add a site map. It will help structure your site for spiders.

o	Submitting articles with links to your web site to directories is yet another famous SEO trick that can really boost the amount of traffic you generate while also giving click through traffic, too.

o	Also, don’t forget to submit articles with your web site link to the publishers. Do not hope that they will pick your article up from a directory. It is better to submit directly to the publishers themselves.

o	Another SEO trick is to seek forums related to your niche, join them and advertise your web site there.

o	And, last but not the least. Another famous SEO trick is to submit your web site to the directories “including” the PR0 directories.

Okay, so it was some of the most famous SEO tricks that can really help you to optimize your search engine results and put you on the path toward higher search engine rankings. But for that, it is really IMPORTANT that you follow them correctly.

By: Romio Abboud

About the Author:

It is vital to ensure that your website is optimised for the search engines, but whilst doing this it is important not to lose sight of just who you are actually seeking to attract – real human beings to buy or inquire about your products and services.

Writing copy that sells

When optimising your site, you should ensure that the content not only includes the keywords of most importance for searches and getting high SERPs, but that it also “sells”. Whether this sale is a call to action by your website visitor, eg call us today, sign up to our email newsletter, get the RSS feed from our blog, or it encourages the website visitor to look further at your products, buy, or recommend to a friend, you need to ensure that your copy achieves this. This should be a higher priority than focussing on what the search engines are looking for.

Creating keyword lists of the most searched upon phrases which will deliver traffic to your website is important, as are long tail keywords and terms, but when you incorporate these into your website copy, you should be doing this with a view to ensuring that your copy makes sense and is compelling for your site visitors, rather than satisfying the search engine spiders.

Where to place keywords

Your keywords should be specific to each page, rather than generic for the whole website, and need to be placed in certain places to ensure that they are indexed by the search engines, whilst answering that all-important visitor question:

“What’s In It For Me” – often abbreviated to WIIFM.

Each visitor to your site will have arrived on your website either through a search engine results page, through a Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign, a link, or through additional marketing methods which have brought them to your site seeking the answers to their questions or research.

It is commonly believed that you have only about 10 secs or less to convince the visitor that they are in the right place on the right website, and after all, the rest of the Web is only a click away. Your headlines, words in bold, copy and images need to answer the WIIFM question in a matter of moments for the user and will therefore also do the job of search engine optimisation.

Landing Pages

In order to ensure that a website visitor is directed to the information they are seeking, the creation of landing pages is important. These are usually single issue pages eg about a specific product or with a defined call to action. Directing visitors to these landing pages means that their search yields precisely the results they would expect, answering questions quickly and, when carefully designed, these can ensure that users follow the call to action without being distracted by too much information or too many navigational choices.

A landing page should be specifically optimised to tie into a set of keywords for your PPC and marketing campaigns, as this will help to deliver maximum results from your actions and budget.

Remember also the importance of a single call to action rather than a cluttered page which confuses the site visitor. Do you want them to buy, inquire, call you, fill out a feedback or contact form, take part in a poll, download a white paper, sign up to your mailing list? Whatever you need them to do, make sure there is only one call to action on each landing page. This will also help you to clearly track conversions and results.

By: Phil N Robinson

About the Author:

Once you begin to set up to promote your blog, here are some SEO tips you can use that will teach you how to blog.

The first thing you want to do is make sure your keyword research is complete. When you start to put your new content on your blog you want to put the keyword in the title once in the first few sentences and the last few sentences. Use a few different ways of words in your keyword research.

When you host the domain name on a server I suggest that you put your blog onto a primary domain where the primary domain name includes the main keyword that you are trying to target. The main page that you use is very important because 50 to 60% of your links over time to point to that page. That landing page has to have a little different strategy than the other promotional strategies that you use for the entire blog.

Make sure if you’re selling a product to have good ad copy. Always attach a blog to your website’s product or services. This will help you in your marketing efforts.

Once you have a few articles on your blog that are optimized for the main keyword, this is where you’ll target the best traffic potential in some of these how to blog tips and tricks. The first step is to social book mark your articles, submit your RSS feed to various RSS directories, aggregators and search engine submission directories.

Now you’ll get some good links over time but the link value is very low. Keep up a good social book marking plan but make sure you stay consistent.

Because the link value is low you’ll want to have articles written up and submitted through article directories. I suggest using other blog networks and get some outbound links that way in your signature. Everything that you do you want to make it as natural as possible so that everything appears quite organic.

That is why book marking is good to use because it drips out these links over a period of time and it’s not an overnight task where you wake up and have thousands of links.

Most people over look these methods when learning how to blog because of the low value but over time the search engine spiders will index your site. It just might take a bit longer. This method on how to blog will take a week or two and sometimes a month or so for the indexing to happen, but he effort is really worth it in the long run. Now that you have learned some of these tips and tricks on how to blog, start applying it and reap the rewards of your success.

By: Reed Slidell

About the Author:

When it is really important to be viewed at their top ten result pages of search engine , importance of keyword phrase is vital for every SEO company. There is no limit to the number of keyword phrase, hence, it is not possible to take account of every possible keyword. But, SEO companies can take account of the popularity of keywords that can be considered as truly prospective. One the other side, a keyword which is not so popular but drives selective and right group of customers to a site should not to be taken lightly as well. So, use of keywords during search engine optimization depends upon different factors, different classes and quality. Before, you get baffled with when to give a keyword importance and when not, start taking following considerations.

Begin with fragmenting your prospective market in three divisions -

Geographical location of prospects – When your site offers area or region specific services, for example, real estate services, then your SEO company should suggest area specific keywords. Narrow down which type of people or people from which geographical location can make use of your services. Bringing traffic is not all, prospects must be interested in your site. Therefore, your SEO team should use name of locations your service is limited to in order to get potential leads. Level of service expected by prospects – Your SEO company must know level and quality of products or services expected by your consumers from you. For this, discuss what type of customers you are looking for through SEO solutions. For instance, if you are delivering high priced and high quality email marketing services that are intended to cater to premium business class people only, let your SEO people use more specific keywords. Use ‘valuable email marketing’ instead of plain use of ‘email marketing’ to avoid unnecessary traffic of people seeking inexpensive service. Position in purchase cycle – Tell your SEO company whether you want to be just the source of information of a product or a place to buy, or if you want to be a location for both type of service – in brief, discuss with SEO specialists about your position in a purchase process. Through right selection of keyword, your nature of service can be clarified. If you give information on real estate of Georgia, use ‘Georgia real estate info’, ‘ Georgia real estate news’ etc., but, if you want property buyers to view your site, keywords like ‘Georgia real estate agent’, ‘cheap Georgia real estate’ will bring you the right traffic you want.

Discuss these three points with your SEO company [http://www.rupizmedia.com/seo-services] to make them understand your nature of business and business objectives to help you get more leads than mere and insignificant traffic.

By: Naman Jain

About the Author:

More and more people are now sinking their teeth into article marketing; this is an online marketing strategy where one can get exposure and better page rank by just distributing articles. If you’re one of these people, you need to understand that it’s not enough to put together great content. You also need to know how to properly optimize your articles to make them searchable in the online arena. Here’s how you can do that:

1. Make use of keyword suggestion tools. There is no better way to identify the most searched terms and phrases in your niche than using reliable keyword suggestion tools. These tools will not only help you figure out the best keywords to use when optimizing your articles but they can also give you an idea as to what specific information your target audience are looking for when they go online. Use these words as guides to make your articles more focused.

2. Meta descriptions. A lot of writers get overwhelmed when they head about Meta descriptions. Well, there is no need to feel that way. This is just a short summary of your articles that is being used to help search spiders in analyzing the gist of your content. For best results, ensure that you use the keywords that you’re targeting and their synonyms on these descriptions.

3. Keyword density. A lot of articles have been rejected by major search engines because they contain too many keywords. To avoid this problem, make sure that the number of your keywords is just 1-2% of your article word count. Sprinkle these keywords all throughout your content.

By: Sean R Mize

About the Author:
